The Center for Community Development Inc. helps low to moderate-incomecitizens become first-time homebuyers. This is done by rehabilitating existing older homes and building newly constructed homes in neighborhoods that are in need of revitalization.
HOMEBUYER REQUIREMENTS:
- Meet income and guidelines to qualify for home ownership;
- Work with CCDI to clear up any existing credit problems;
- Attend VHDA home ownership classes, which help buyers prepare for the responsibilities of home ownership.
CCDI has been a
catalyst for the revitalization of more than 100 homes within
the City of Portsmouth and the Hampton Roads Region continuing to
construct/renovate 4-6 homes each year.
